Roy C. Holder is in his twentieth year as the Band Director at Lake Braddock Secondary School.  His responsibilities include the Symphonic Band, Concert Band I, marching band, middle school percussion class, assisting various high school and middle school classes as well as overseeing the administration of the Lake Braddock Band program.

Louis C. Bean is in his eleventh year as Middle School Band Director at Lake Braddock.  He performs the important job of preparing the "junior varsity" Middle School Band students for the responsibilities and challenges that await them in high school band.


Michael Luley is in his second year as Associate Band Director at Lake Braddock.  He teaches two middle school bands, one high school concert band, the high school jazz ensemble, and assists with marching band and other middle school and high school activities.

As Lake Braddock band parents, we are well aware of the positive influence Mr. Holder has on our children. Margi Flynn, a Lake Braddock band parent, shares this endearing story revealing how Mr. Holder inspired a young observer... "I was standing on top of the hill, watching the marching practice along with this young boy and his father who live in the neighborhood behind the school. The father was kind enough to allow me to go on and on about the band and all of its accomplishments. Then he told me that they could hear the band at their home so they decided to come see it. I explained to the father that Troy, a Kindergartner at Kings Park, could start in 5th grade and play anything he wanted. When his dad asked him what he wanted to play, Troy responded... 'No, Daddy.
